  1. Your important documents
  2. Money in Soudi Rial and your own local currency
  3. mobile phone
  4. Identifiable polythene bags for slippers
  5.  Extra pair of rubber slippers
  6. Small carry bag for two
  7. (2) nights Arafat & Mina  Two (2) sets of Ehram – Men
  8.  Belt for Men Ehram (stitched belts are permitted- avoid leather belts)
  9. Small water bottle (1/2 liter)
  10.  Gloves
  11. Hands free bag (with zipper) for Women – preferable something you can hang around your neck
  12.  Copies of duas and above pamplets.
  13.  Small torch / flashlight  Scissors  Nail cutter / clippers
  14.  Alarm clock (preferably small battery operated)
  15. Small cloth sling bag for collecting 100 small stones
  16. Sleeping Bag / Mat
  17. SCISSOR-for ladies to cut the hair
  18. 3 to 2 pin adapter for Mobile phone charger converter
  19. Always carry the address and phone number of the hotel / Kafila. You should also carry EMERGENCY contact name(s) & telephone number(s) and other identification information.

Some information for the Pilgrims:

  1. Plenty of Zam-Zam water is available in tumblers/containers at the Haram (Containers/Tumblers tops marked GREEN are not cold.
  2. There are many gates to Haram,each with different names ,please remember the landmarks of the gates and gates number through which you are entering.
  3. Go to the toilets,atleast one hour before salah.It may be packed,or you may loose your seats.
  4. check the blessed spot on masjid nabawi,where you should make sure to read the salah.
  5. You can check these places in madina,which are of special significance.
  6. And these Ziyarah places in Mecca

Harvard appoints first Muslim Chaplain.

Khalil Abdur-Rashid appointed as first Muslim Chaplain in harvard Khalil Abdur-Rashid, an adjunct professor of Islamic studies at Southern Methodist University and co-founder of the Islamic Seminary of America, has been appointed Harvard’s Muslim chaplain, the University announced today. He will begin his role on July 5. “Khalil brings a remarkable combination of skills to the Harvard community. Qiyamul lail Prayer from Mecca 2017 of the last 10 days of Ramadan Qiyam' means 'standing' and 'Qiyam al-Layl' means 'standing in night.' In the Islamic terminology, both terms refer to 'the voluntary night prayer, whose time extends from after 'Ishaa’ (evening) prayer until dawn.'
