What is the Dua for waking up?
The dua is as follows:
Arabic: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ الَّذِي أَحْيَانَا بَعْدَ مَا أَمَاتَنَا وَإِلَيْهِ النُّشُورُ
Transliteration: Alhamdu lillahi allathee ahyana baAAda ma amatana wa-ilayhin-nushoor.
Translation: “Praise is to Allah who gave us life after He made us die and to Him is the final return.”
This du’a is a way of acknowledging the blessing of being granted another day of life and seeking Allah’s guidance and protection throughout the day. It is part of the morning adhkar (remembrances) and is often recited with other supplications upon waking.
