Assalamu Alaikum,Are You facing the trials of life?Have you lost your Job,Your children,Your wealth or your health?I would like to Share with you the Story of the Man who had lost them all.It is the story of prophet Ayoob (A.S).It is a Reminder to all those who worship Allah.Allah says that He made Prophet Ayoob an example lest those who are beset by trials think that He do that to them because He do not care for them.Allah mentions the story of Ayoob in many places in quran so that People take him as an example of patience in accepting the decrees of Allah and bearing the trials with which He tests His servants as He wills. And Allah has the utmost wisdom with regard to that.
Who Was Prophet Ayoob (A.S) and How did Allah test him?
The Quran describes Job as a righteous servant of Allah, who was afflicted by suffering for a lengthy period of time. However, it clearly states that Job never lost faith in God and forever called to God in prayer, asking Him to remove his affliction:
And Job, when he cried unto his Lord, (saying): Lo! Adversity afflicteth me, and Thou art Most Merciful of all who show mercy.
How Can the Patience of Ayoob be applied Today
The Sabr of Prophet Ayoob(AS ) is exemplary for all generations.I came across this beautiful Presentation by Tariq Ramadan where he dicusses with live coach and author sayeda Habib on How We can utilise the sabr we learn from prophet Ayoob in our life and in dealing with the Problems of the Contemporary world.
