Think deeply about the wonders and creation of this universe (3:191)
3.191
Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, (and say): Our Lord! Thou createdst not this in vain. Glory be to Thee! Preserve us from the doom of Fire.
Al-Ladhฤซna Yadhkurลซna Allฤha Qiyฤmฤan Wa Qu`ลซdฤan Wa `Alรก Junลซbihim Wa Yatafakkarลซna Fฤซ Khalqi As-Samฤwฤti Wa Al-โArฤi Rabbanฤ Mฤ Khalaqta Hฤdhฤ Bฤลฃilฤan Subฤฅฤnaka Faqinฤ `Adhฤba An-Nฤri
Men and Women have equal rewards for their deeds (3:195)

And their Lord hath heard them (and He saith): Lo! I suffer not the work of any worker, male or female, to be lost. Ye proceed one from another. So those who fled and were driven forth from their homes and suffered damage for My cause, and fought and were slain, verily I shall remit their evil deeds from them and verily I shall bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow โ A reward from Allah. And with Allah is the fairest of rewards.
Fฤstajฤba Lahum Rabbuhum โAnnฤซ Lฤ โUฤฤซ`u `Amala `ฤmilin Minkum Min Dhakarin โAw โUnthรก Ba`ฤukum Min Ba`ฤin Fa-Al-Ladhฤซna Hฤjarลซ Wa โUkhrijลซ Min Diyฤrihim Wa โลชdhลซ Fฤซ Sabฤซlฤซ Wa Qฤtalลซ Wa Qutilลซ Laโukaffiranna `Anhum Sayyiโฤtihim Wa Laโudkhilannahum Jannฤtin Tajrฤซ Min Taฤฅtihฤ Al-โAnhฤru Thawฤbฤan Min `Indi Allฤhi Wa Allฤhu `Indahu ฤคusnu AthโThawฤbi
Do not marry those in your blood relation (4:23)

Forbidden unto you are your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and your fatherยดs sisters, and your motherยดs sisters, and your brotherยดs daughters and your sisterยดs daughters, and your foster-mothers, and your foster-sisters, and your mothers-in-law, and your step-daughters who are under your protection (born) of your women unto whom ye have gone in โ but if ye have not gone in unto them, then it is no sin for you (to marry their daughters) โ and the wives of your sons who (spring) from your own loins. And (it is forbidden unto you) that ye should have two sisters together, except what hath already happened (of that nature) in the past. Lo! Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.
ฤคurrimat `Alaykum โUmmahฤtukum Wa Banฤtukum Wa โAkhawฤtukum Wa `Ammฤtukum Wa Khฤlฤtukum Wa Banฤtu Al-โAkhi Wa Banฤtu Al-โUkhti Wa โUmmahฤtukumu Al-Lฤtฤซ โArฤa`nakum Wa โAkhawฤtukum Mina Ar-Raฤฤ`ati Wa โUmmahฤtu Nisฤโikum Wa Rabฤโibukumu Al-Lฤtฤซ Fฤซ ฤคujลซrikum Min Nisฤโikumu Al-Lฤtฤซ Dakhaltum Bihinna Faโin Lam Takลซnลซ Dakhaltum Bihinna Falฤ Junฤฤฅa `Alaykum Wa ฤคalฤโilu โAbnฤโikumu Al-Ladhฤซna Min โAลlฤbikum Wa โAn Tajma`ลซ Bayna Al-โUkhtayni โIllฤ Mฤ Qad Salafa โInna Allฤha Kฤna Ghafลซrฤan Raฤฅฤซmฤan
Family should be led by men (4:34)

Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.

Do not be miserly (4:37)

Who hoard their wealth and enjoin avarice on others, and hide that which Allah hath bestowed upon them of His bounty. For disbelievers We prepare a shameful doom;

Or are they jealous of mankind because of that which Allah of His bounty hath bestowed upon them? For We bestowed upon the house of Abraham (of old) the Scripture and wisdom, and We bestowed on them a mighty kingdom.

Do not kill each other (4:92)

It is not for a believer to kill a believer unless (it be) by mistake. He who hath killed a believer by mistake must set free a believing slave, and pay the blood-money to the family of the slain, unless they remit it as a charity. If he (the victim) be of a people hostile unto you, and he is a believer, then (the penance is) to set free a believing slave. And if he cometh of a folk between whom and you there is a covenant, then the blood-money must be paid unto his folk and (also) a believing slave must be set free. And whoso hath not the wherewithal must fast two consecutive months. A penance from Allah. Allah is Knower, Wise.

Do not be an advocate for deceit (4:105)

Lo! We reveal unto thee the Scripture with the truth, that thou mayst judge between mankind by that which Allah showeth thee. And be not thou a pleader for the treacherous;
O ye who believe! Profane not Allahยดs monuments nor the Sacred Month nor the offerings nor the garlands, nor those repairing to the Sacred House, seeking the grace and pleasure of their Lord. But when ye have left the sacred territory, then go hunting (if ye will). And let not your hatred of a folk who (once) stopped your going to the inviolable place of worship seduce you to transgress; but help ye one another unto righteousness and pious duty. Help not one another unto sin and transgression, but keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is severe in punishment
โHaving majorityโ is not a criterion of truth (6:116)

If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from Allahยดs way. They follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess.

Be just (5:8)

O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do.

Punish for crimes in an exemplary way (5:38)

As for the thief, both male and female, cut off their hands. It is the reward of their own deeds, an exemplary punishment from Allah. Allah is Mighty, Wise.
Wa As-Sฤriqu Wa As-Sฤriqatu Fฤqลฃa`ลซ โAydiyahumฤ Jazฤโan Bimฤ Kasabฤ Nakฤlฤan Mina Allฤhi Wa Allฤhu `Azฤซzun ฤคakฤซmun
Strive against sinful and unlawful acts (5:63)

Why do not the rabbis and the priests forbid their evil-speaking and their devouring of illicit gain? Verily evil is their handiwork.

Dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine are prohibited (5:3)

Forbidden unto you (for food) are carrion and blood and swineflesh, and that which hath been dedicated unto any other than Allah, and the strangled, and the dead through beating, and the dead through falling from a height, and that which hath been killed by (the goring of) horns, and the devoured of wild beasts, saving that which ye make lawful (by the death-stroke), and that which hath been immolated unto idols. And (forbidden is it) that ye swear by the divining arrows. This is an abomination. This day are those who disbelieve in despair of (ever harming) your religion; so fear them not, fear Me! This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you as religion al-Islam. Whoso is forced by hunger, not by will, to sin: (for him) lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
Avoid intoxicants and alcohol (5:90)
Do not gamble (5:90)

O ye who believe! Strong drink and games of chance and idols and divining arrows are only an infamy of Satanยดs handiwork. Leave it aside in order that ye may succeed.

Do not insult othersโ deities (6:108)

Revile not those unto whom they pray beside Allah lest they wrongfully revile Allah through ignorance. Thus unto every nation have We made their deed seem fair. Then unto their Lord is their return, and He will tell them what they used to do.
Donโt reduce weight or measure to cheat people (6:152)
6.152
And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better, till he reach maturity. Give full measure and full weight, in justice. We task not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman; and fulfil the covenant of Allah. This He commandeth you that haply ye may remember.
Wa Lฤ Taqrabลซ Mฤla Al-Yatฤซmi โIllฤ Bi-Atฤซ Hiya โAฤฅsanu ฤคattรก Yablugha โAshuddahu Wa โAwfลซ Al-Kayla Wa Al-Mฤซzฤna Bil-Qisลฃi Lฤ Nukallifu Nafsฤan โIllฤ Wus`ahฤ Wa โIdhฤ Qultum Fฤ`dilลซ Wa Law Kฤna Dhฤ Qurbรก Wa Bi`ahdi Allฤhi โAwfลซ Dhฤlikum Waลลฤkum Bihi La`allakum Tadhakkarลซna
O Children of Adam! Look to your adornment at every place of worship, and eat and drink, but be not prodigal. Lo! He loveth not the prodigals.
Yฤ Banฤซ โฤdama Khudhลซ Zฤซnatakum `Inda Kulli Masjidin Wa Kulลซ Wa Ashrabลซ Wa Lฤ Tusrifลซ โInnahu Lฤ Yuฤฅibbu Al-Musrifฤซna
protect and help those who seek protection (9:6)

And if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection (O Muhammad), then protect him so that he may hear the Word of Allah, and afterward convey him to his place of safety. That is because they are a folk who know not.
Wa โIn โAฤฅadun Mina Al-Mushrikฤซna Astajฤraka Faโajirhu ฤคattรก Yasma`a Kalฤma Allฤhi Thumma โAbligh/hu Maโmanahu Dhฤlika Biโannahum Qawmun Lฤ Ya`lamลซna
Keep Purity (9:108)

Never stand (to pray) there. A place of worship which was found upon duty (to Allah) from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein, wherein are men who love to purify themselves. Allah loveth the purifiers.
Go, O my sons, and ascertain concerning Joseph and his brother, and despair not of the Spirit of Allah. Lo! none despaireth of the Spirit of Allah save disbelieving folk.
Yฤ Banฤซya Adh/habลซ Fataฤฅassasลซ Min Yลซsufa Wa โAkhฤซhi Wa Lฤ Tayโasลซ Min Rawฤฅi Allฤhi โInnahu Lฤ Yayโasu Min Rawฤฅi Allฤhi โIllฤ Al-Qawmu Al-Kฤfirลซna
Allah will forgive those who have done wrong out of ignorance (16:119)

Then lo! thy Lord โ for those who do evil in ignorance and afterward repent and amend โ lo! (for them) thy Lord is afterward indeed Forgiving, Merciful.
Thumma โInna Rabbaka Lilladhฤซna `Amilลซ As-Sลซโa Bijahฤlatin Thumma Tฤbลซ Min Ba`di Dhฤlika Wa โAลlaฤฅลซ โInna Rabbaka Min Ba`dihฤ Laghafลซrun Raฤฅฤซmun
Invitation to God should be with wisdom and good instruction (16:125)

Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright.
Ad`u โIlรก Sabฤซli Rabbika Bil-ฤคikmati Wa Al-Maw`iลพati Al-ฤคasanati Wa Jฤdilhum Bi-Atฤซ Hiya โAฤฅsanu โInna Rabbaka Huwa โA`lamu Biman ฤalla `An Sabฤซlihi Wa Huwa โA`lamu Bil-Muhtadฤซna
No one will bear othersโ sins (17:15)

Whosoever goeth right, it is only for (the good of) his own soul that he goeth right, and whosoever erreth, erreth only to its hurt. No laden soul can bear anotherยดs load, We never punish until we have sent a messenger.
Mani Ahtadรก Faโinnamฤ Yahtadฤซ Linafsihi Wa Man ฤalla Faโinnamฤ Yaฤillu `Alayhฤ Wa Lฤ Taziru Wฤziratun Wizra โUkhrรก Wa Mฤ Kunnฤ Mu`adhibฤซna ฤคattรก Nab`atha Rasลซlฤan
Do not kill your children for fear of poverty (17:31)

Slay not your children, fearing a fall to poverty, We shall provide for them and for you. Lo! the slaying of them is great sin.
Wa Lฤ Taqtulลซ โAwlฤdakum Khashyata โImlฤqin Naฤฅnu Narzuquhum Wa โฤชyฤkum โInna Qatlahum Kฤna Khiลฃโฤan Kabฤซrฤan
Do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge (17:36)

(O man), follow not that whereof thou hast no knowledge. Lo! the hearing and the sight and the heart โ of each of these it will be asked.
Wa Lฤ Taqfu Mฤ Laysa Laka Bihi `Ilmun โInna As-Sam`a Wa Al-Baลara Wa Al-Fuโuฤda Kullu โลชlฤโika Kฤna `Anhu Masโลซlฤan
Keep aloof from what is vain (23:3)

And who shun vain conversation,
Wa Al-Ladhฤซna Hum `Ani Al-Laghwi Mu`riฤลซna
Do not enter othersโ houses without seeking permission (24:27)
24.27
O ye who believe! Enter not houses other than your own without first announcing your presence and invoking peace upon the folk thereof. That is better for you, that ye may be heedful.
Allah will provide security for those who believe only in Allah (24:55)

Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good work that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others); and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me. Those who disbelieve henceforth, they are the miscreants.
Walk on earth in humility (25:63)

The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace;
Wa `Ibฤdu Ar-Raฤฅmฤni Al-Ladhฤซna Yamshลซna `Alรก Al-โArฤi Hawnฤan Wa โIdhฤ Khฤลฃabahumu Al-Jฤhilลซna Qฤlลซ Salฤmฤan
Do not neglect your portion of this world (28:77)

But seek the abode of the Hereafter in that which Allah hath given thee and neglect not thy portion of the world, and be thou kind even as Allah hath been kind to thee, and seek not corruption in the earth; lo! Allah loveth not corrupters,
Wa Abtaghi Fฤซmฤ โฤtฤka Allฤhu Ad-Dฤra Al-โฤkhirata Wa Lฤ Tansa Naลฤซbaka Mina Ad-Dunyฤ Wa โAฤฅsin Kamฤ โAฤฅsana Allฤhu โIlayka Wa Lฤ Tabghi Al-Fasฤda Fฤซ Al-โArฤi โInna Allฤha Lฤ Yuฤฅibbu Al-Mufsidฤซna
Invoke not any other god along with Allah (28:88)

And cry not unto any other god along with Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Everything will perish save His countenance. His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back.
Wa Lฤ Tad`u Ma`a Allฤhi โIlahฤan โฤkhara Lฤ โIlฤha โIllฤ Huwa Kullu Shayโin Hฤlikun โIllฤ Wajhahu Lahu Al-ฤคukmu Wa โIlayhi Turja`ลซna
Do not engage in homosexuality (29:29)

For come ye not in unto males, and cut ye not the road (for travellers), and commit ye not abomination in your meetings? But the answer of his folk was only that they said: Bring Allahยดs doom upon us if thou art a truthteller!
โAโinnakum Lataโtลซna Ar-Rijฤla Wa Taqลฃa`ลซna As-Sabฤซla Wa Taโtลซna Fฤซ Nฤdฤซkumu Al-Munkara Famฤ Kฤna Jawฤba Qawmihi โIllฤ โAn Qฤlลซ Aโtinฤ Bi`adhฤbi Allฤhi โIn Kunta Mina Aล-ลฤdiqฤซna
Enjoin right, forbid wrong (31:17)

O my dear son! Establish worship and enjoin kindness and forbid iniquity, and persevere whatever may befall thee. Lo! that is of the steadfast heart of things.
Yฤ Bunayya โAqimi Aล-ลalฤata Wa โMur Bil-Ma`rลซfi Wa Anha `Ani Al-Munkari Wa Aลbir `Alรก Mฤ โAลฤbaka โInna Dhฤlika Min `Azmi Al-โUmลซri
Do not walk in insolence through the earth (31:18)
31.18
Turn not thy cheek in scorn toward folk, nor walk with pertness in the land. Lo! Allah loveth not each braggart boaster.
Wa Lฤ Tuลaโir Khaddaka Lilnnฤsi Wa Lฤ Tamshi Fฤซ Al-โArฤi Maraฤฅฤan โInna Allฤha Lฤ Yuฤฅibbu Kulla Mukhtฤlin Fakhลซrin
Women should not display their finery (33:33)
33.33
And stay in your houses. Bedizen not yourselves with the bedizenment of the Time of Ignorance. Be regular in prayer, and pay the poor-due, and obey Allah and His messenger. Allahยดs wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O Folk of the Household, and cleanse you with a thorough cleansing.
Allah forgives all sins (39:53)
Do not despair of the mercy of Allah (39:53)

Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.
The good deed and the evil deed are not alike. Repel the evil deed with one which is better, then lo! he, between whom and thee there was enmity (will become) as though he was a bosom friend.
Wa Lฤ Tastawฤซ Al-ฤคasanatu Wa Lฤ As-Sayyiโatu Adfa` Bi-Atฤซ Hiya โAฤฅsanu Faโidhฤ Al-Ladhฤซ Baynaka Wa Baynahu `Adฤwatun Kaโannahu Wa Lฤซyun ฤคamฤซmun
Decide on affairs by consultation (42:38)

And those who answer the call of their Lord and establish worship, and whose affairs are a matter of counsel, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them,
Wa Al-Ladhฤซna Astajฤbลซ Lirabbihim Wa โAqฤmลซ Aล-ลalฤata Wa โAmruhum Shลซrรก Baynahum Wa Mimmฤ Razaqnฤhum Yunfiqลซna
Most noble of you is the most righteous (49:13)

O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware.
Yฤ โAyyuhฤ An-Nฤsu โInnฤ Khalaqnฤkum Min Dhakarin Wa โUnthรก Wa Ja`alnฤkum Shu`ลซbฤan Wa Qabฤโila Lita`ฤrafลซ โInna โAkramakum `Inda Allฤhi โAtqฤkum โInna Allฤha `Alฤซmun Khabฤซrun
No Monasticism in religion (57:27)

But Allah hath been gracious unto us and hath preserved us from the torment of the breath of Fire.
Famanna Allฤhu `Alaynฤ Wa Waqฤnฤ `Adhฤba As-Samลซmi
Those who have knowledge will be given a higher degree by Allah (58:11)
58.11
O ye who believe! when it is said unto you, Make room! in assemblies, then make room; Allah will make way for you (hereafter). And when it is said, Come up higher! go up higher; Allah will exalt those who believe among you, and those who have knowledge, to high ranks. Allah is Informed of what ye do.
Treat non-Muslims in a kind and fair manner (60:8)

Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers.

Save yourself from covetousness (64:16)

So keep your duty to Allah as best ye can, and listen, and obey, and spend; that is better for your souls. And whoso is saved from his own greed, such are the successful.
Fฤttaqลซ Allฤha Mฤ Astaลฃa`tum Wa Asma`ลซ Wa โAลฃฤซ`ลซ Wa โAnfiqลซ Khayrฤan Liโnfusikum Wa Man Yลซqa Shuฤฅฤฅa Nafsihi Faโลซlฤโika Humu Al-Mufliฤฅลซna
Seek forgiveness of Allah. He is Forgiving and Merciful (73:20)
73.20
Lo! thy Lord knoweth how thou keepest vigil sometimes nearly two-thirds of the night, or (sometimes) half or a third thereof, as do a party of those with thee. Allah measureth the night and the day. He knoweth that ye count it not, and turneth unto you in mercy. Recite, then, of the Qurยดan that which is easy for you. He knoweth that there are sick folk among you, while others travel in the land in search of Allahยดs bounty, and others (still) are fighting for the cause of Allah. So recite of it that which is easy (for you), and establish worship and pay the poor-due, and (so) lend unto Allah a goodly loan. Whatsoever good ye send before you for your souls, ye will find it with Allah, better and greater in the recompense. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
