Dua for Pain Relief
In moments of pain, sorrow, or distress, dua provides comfort and solace. It serves as a source of emotional and spiritual support, offering relief to those who are suffering.Regularly engaging in dua strengthens one’s faith and deepens their relationship with Allah. It is a way to nurture one’s spirituality and experience a sense of closeness to the higher power.
I came across this beautiful dua that was taught by Rasul Allah sallalahu alaihe wa sallam to a sahabi when he was in pain.

اجْعَلْ يَدَكَ الْيُمْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ
a’udhu bi’izzatil-lahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru.
In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear
How to read the dua of pain
You need to put your right hand in the site of pain and read the dua seven times. In sha Allah, you will get shifa. Read the dua with full ikhlas and sincerity.
If you’re dealing with any of these types of pain – be it swelling and pain, pain in your legs or hands, nerve pain, discomfort in your back, a bothersome headache, earache, stomach ache, or even those monthly period pains, this dua is very powerful and it can be read for pain.

Dua for pain from hadith
It was narrated that ‘Uthman bin Abul-‘As Thaqafi said:
“I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and I was suffering pain that was killing me. The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me: ‘Put your right hand on it and say: Bismillah, a’udhu bi’izzatil-lahi wa qudratihi min sharri ma ajidu wa uhadhiru. (In the Name of Allah, I seek refuge in the might and power of Allah from the evil of what I feel and what I fear),” seven times.’ I said that, and Allah healed me.”
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ أَبِي بُكَيْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا زُهَيْرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ خُصَيْفَةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ كَعْبٍ، عَنْ نَافِعِ بْنِ جُبَيْرٍ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي الْعَاصِ الثَّقَفِيِّ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ قَدِمْتُ عَلَى النَّبِيِّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ وَبِي وَجَعٌ قَدْ كَادَ يُبْطِلُنِي فَقَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ “ اجْعَلْ يَدَكَ الْيُمْنَى عَلَيْهِ وَقُلْ بِسْمِ اللَّهِ أَعُوذُ بِعِزَّةِ اللَّهِ وَقُدْرَتِهِ مِنْ شَرِّ مَا أَجِدُ وَأُحَاذِرُ سَبْعَ مَرَّاتٍ ” . فَقُلْتُ ذَلِكَ فَشَفَانِيَ اللَّهُ .
