Free Salah and Qadha Salah Tracker — Track Your Daily Prayers and Make Up Missed Salah

Salah is the second pillar of Islam and the most important act of worship after the declaration of faith. The prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) said: “The first matter that the servant will be brought to account for on the Day of Judgement is the prayer. If it is sound, then the rest of his deeds will be sound. And if it is incomplete, then the rest of his deeds will be incomplete.” (At-Tirmidhi). This is why tracking your salah — and taking seriously any prayers you may have missed — is one of the most important spiritual habits a Muslim can build.

The Salah and Qadha Salah Tracker at Islam Hashtag is a free, easy-to-use online tool designed to help Muslims track their five daily prayers, log and reduce their qadha (missed prayer) debt, and keep a record of any missed fasts from Ramadan or other obligatory fasting. It is completely free to use, requires no subscription, and takes less than a minute to set up.

What is Qadha Salah?

Qadha Salah refers to prayers that were missed or not performed on time and must be made up. According to the majority of Islamic scholars across all four major madhabs (Hanafi, Maliki, Shafi’i, and Hanbali), it is obligatory upon every Muslim to make up missed prayers — whether they were missed due to illness, negligence, travel, sleep, or any other reason. There is no expiry on this obligation; missed prayers remain a debt upon the Muslim until they are repaid.

Many Muslims carry years of accumulated qadha without a clear plan to address them, which can cause spiritual anxiety and a sense of disconnection from Allah (SWT). The good news is that the door of repentance is always open, and making up missed prayers — even gradually, one or two extra per day — is a beloved act before Allah. The scholars agree: begin now, be consistent, and do not be overwhelmed by the number. Allah (SWT) is Al-Ghafur (the Most Forgiving) and Al-Wadud (the Most Loving).

What is Qadha Sawm (Missed Fasting)?

Similarly, missed fasts from Ramadan — whether due to illness, travel, pregnancy, breastfeeding, menstruation, or any other valid reason — must be made up before the next Ramadan arrives. Allah (SWT) says in the Quran: “And whoever is ill or on a journey — then an equal number of other days.” (Surah Al-baqarah, 2:185). The Qadha Tracker helps you log your missed fasts alongside your salah, so you have a single, organized view of all your ibadah obligations in one place.

Why You Need a Dedicated Salah Tracker

Most Muslims try to keep track of their daily prayers mentally — but without a system, it is easy to lose count, especially when life gets busy. A dedicated tracker offers several meaningful benefits:

  • Accountability — seeing your daily prayer record in a visual, colour-coded calendar creates a sense of responsibility and consistency
  • Motivation — tracking streaks and watching your qadha debt shrink is deeply motivating and rewarding
  • Clarity — knowing exactly how many qadha prayers remain removes the vague anxiety of an undefined debt
  • Organisation — keeping salah and sawm records together means you always know where you stand with your obligations
  • Spiritual growth — regularly engaging with your prayer record keeps salah at the forefront of your daily intentions, insha’Allah

How the Tracker Works

The Islam Hashtag Salah and Qadha Tracker is built around four core features:

The Daily Salah Calendar lets you tap each of the five daily prayers as you complete them. A colour-coded monthly view lets you see your consistency at a glance — a powerful visual reminder of your progress and areas for improvement.

The Qadha Debt Tracker is where you enter the total number of missed prayers for each salah (Fajr, Dhuhr, Asr, Maghrib, Isha). Each time you make up a qadha prayer, you log it here and watch your balance decrease — a deeply satisfying and motivating experience.

The Fasting Tracker works the same way for missed Ramadan fasts and other fasting obligations, letting you log each made-up fast until your debt is cleared.

The Stats and Fidya Estimate section gives you an overview of your overall progress and provides an automated Fidya estimate for any remaining prayers — useful for elderly Muslims or those with health conditions who may need to arrange Fidya payments in place of making up prayers themselves.

Who Should Use This Tool?

This tracker is valuable for any Muslim who wants to take their salah more seriously, including:

  • Muslims returning to regular prayer after a period of lapse who have accumulated qadha
  • New Muslims establishing their prayer routine for the first time
  • Muslims who want a simple daily habit tracker to maintain consistency in their five daily prayers
  • Anyone who has missed fasts from Ramadan and wants to organize their make-up schedule
  • Parents and teachers who want to encourage young Muslims to track and take pride in their salah
