30 Intentions of reading Quran

Making multiple Intentions on every action is the secret of the Ulema, the Scholars. Today I would like to share 30 Intentions of reading Quran passed on to me by my teachers. May It benefit all of us.

تجارة العلماء… تعدد النيات.
(إنما الأعمال بالنيات، وإنما لكل امرئ ما نوى).
Deeds are considered by intentions, and a person will get whatever he intends. Narrated by Al-Bukhari.

لماذا أَقْرأُ القرآن ؟

• 1- بنية ذكر الله وطلب المعية والتقرب إلى الله -تعالى- بكلامه.
• 2- مناجاة الله وزيادة إيماني ويقيني به.
• 3- علاج لقسوة القلب، وفيه طمأنينة للقلب، ودفع للوساوس والقلق.
• 4- لأنه شفاء من الأمراض الروحية والجسدية.
• 5- لأن الله -تعالى- يُفرِّج به الهم، ويُذْهِب به الغم.
• 6- لأنه سبب لنزول السكينة وغشيان الرحمة.
• 7- ليكون نوراً لي في الدنيا وذخراً لي في الآخرة .
• 8- ليكون أنيسي في قبري، وشفيعا لي يوم القيامة، ونورا لي على الصراط.
• 9- حتى لا أُكْتَب من الغافلين.
• 10- لكل حرف حسنة، والحسنة بعشر أمثالها، والله يضاعف لمن يشاء.
• 11- لأنه خير من الدنيا وما فيها.
• 12- حتى يفتح لي أبواب الخير الكثيرة.
• 13- حتى يُحِبُّني الله -عز وجل- وأكون من أهله.
• 14- حتى لا أردّ إلى أرذل العمر.
• 15- حتى أكون سببًا في رحمة والداي.
• 16- حتى أُحفظ من الزيغ والضلال.
• 17- حتى أنجو من فتنة القبر وعذاب النار.
• 18- حتى يكون سبيل لدخول الجَنَّة.
• 19- بنية العلم والعمل به.
• 20- بنية الهداية من الله لنفسي ولأهل بيتي.
• 21- طلبًا لبركة القرآن.
• 22- تنفيذ وصية النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم.
• 23- أَقْرأُ وأتعلَّم القرآن حتى أكون من خير الناس.
• 24- أحفظه لأن الإنسان يرتقي في الجنة بقدر حفظه للقرآن.
• 25- حتى أُحفظ من فتنة الدجال.
• 26- حتى يكون حُجة لي لا عليَّ يوم القيامة.
• 27- حتى تشهد لي الأرض وما حولي وجوارحي، يوم القيامة.
• 28- حتى أُعدُّ للسؤالِ جوابًا “عن عُمُرِهِ فيمَ أفناهُ؟”
• 29- حتى يثبتني الله في زمن الفتن، قال تعالى: (كَذَلِكَ لِنُثَبِّتَ بِهِ فُؤَادَكَ).
• 30-أنا أحب القرآن

يستحب بعد الانتهاء من تلاوة القرآن أن يُقال:
(سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إلَيْكَ).

30 Intentions of reading Quran in English

• 1- With the intention of mentioning Allah, seeking His assistance, and drawing closer to Him by His words.
• 2- As a means of communicating with Allah, increasing my faith and certainty in Him.
• 3- As a remedy for the hardness of the heart, providing tranquility and dispelling doubts and anxiety.
• 4- Because it is a cure for spiritual and physical ailments.
• 5- Because Allah alleviates worries and dispels sadness through it.
• 6- Because it is a means of attaining tranquility and being encompassed by mercy.
• 7- To be a light for me in this world and a treasure for me in the Hereafter.
• 8- To be my companion in the grave, an intercessor for me on the Day of Resurrection, and a source of light for me on the Bridge.
• 9- So that I am not written among the heedless.
• 10- For every letter, there is a reward, and a good deed is rewarded tenfold, and Allah multiplies it for whom He wills.
• 11- Because it is better than the world and all that is in it.
• 12- So that many doors of goodness may be opened for me.
• 13- So that Allah loves me and I become one of His people.
• 14- So that I do not return to the worst of ages.
• 15- So that I become a means of mercy for my parents.
• 16- So that I am protected from deviation and misguidance.
• 17- So that I am saved from the trial of the grave and the punishment of the Fire.
• 18- So that it becomes a means for entering Paradise.
• 19- With the intention of seeking knowledge and acting upon it.
• 20- With the intention of seeking guidance from Allah for myself and my family.
• 21- Seeking the blessings of the Quran.
• 22- Fulfilling the command of the Prophet, peace be upon him.
• 23- I recite and learn the Quran so that I may be among the best of people.
• 24- I memorize it because a person will ascend in Paradise according to his memorization of the Quran.
• 25- So that I am protected from the trial of the Dajjal.
• 26- So that it serves as an argument for me, not against me, on the Day of Resurrection.
• 27- So that the earth and all that is around me and my limbs bear witness for me on the Day of Resurrection.
• 28- So that I am prepared to answer the question about my life and how I spent it.
• 29- So that Allah strengthens me in times of trials, as He says: “Thus do We give strength to your heart.”
• 30-I love Quran

It is recommended to say the following after completing the recitation of the Quran:

سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ وَبِحَمْدِكَ، لاَ إِلَهَ إِلاَّ أَنْتَ، أَسْتَغْفِرُكَ وَأَتُوبُ إلَيْكَ
“Glory be to You, O Allah, and praise. There is no deity except You.”
