One of the Oldest Agha,the guardian of Masjid al Nabawi passed away.
Agha Abdou Ali Idris Sheikh, one of the oldest guardians of Masjid Al Nabawi, who served the chamber of Prophet Muhammad (๏ทบ ), passed away today. Janazah prayer will be performed after Maghrib in Masjid Al Nabawi.

According to a social media post, Agha Abdou Ali Idris Sheikh โ who served the chamber of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad (PBUH) โ died on Monday.

The history of Masjid Nabawi is incomplete without the mention of the Guardians who have their own story.These Interesting People hail from Abyssinia .They are eununchs who love to live in seclusion.
There are also known as Aghas or the aghwats .Agha is a non-Arabic word derived from Turkish. The Turkish word comes from the Old Turkic aqa, meaning โelder brotherโ. In Makkah and Madinah, the word was used to respectfully address people who were selected to serve in the holy mosques.
