There are reports that Saudi Arabia has granted citizenship to Indian Islamic scholar Dr Zakir Naik, who is believed to be currently staying in the Kingdom and there are conflicting reports too
According to the report by Middle east Monitor, Saudi King Salman had intervened to grant Zakir Naik citizenship to protect him from arrest by the International Police Organisation, Interpol.The Report is also reported by many leading News daily like Siasat Daily,Express Tribune, The Tribune,News International ,News Nation,Malay Daily ,Qsaudi and India Today etc
It says that :
“Arab sources reported that King Salman had intervened to grant Naik Saudi citizenship to protect him from arrest by the International Police Organisation, Interpol.
Last month, Indian courts issued a second arrest warrant for Dr Naik in connection with his alleged role in a terror-related case and over money laundering allegations. Naik, who was on tour at the time, decided not to return to India and remained in Malaysia where permanent residency status was granted to him five years ago by the Malaysian government.
The 51-year-old preacher left India last year, allegedly to evade arrest after some perpetrators of the Dhaka terror attack claimed they were inspired by him.Indian press reported that the country’s enforcement officials were moving to revoke his passport and request Interpol issue an arrest warrant for him.
It was believed that Naik, who had by then moved to Saudi Arabia, would be forced to return to India if his passport was revoked. The Mumbai passport office, which appears not to have anticipated Saudi Arabia granting citizenship to Naik, moved to revoke his passport while a special court sent out an arrest warrant for him.”
While reports from some other New channel like quint.com,Janta ka reporter and dnaindia claims that Dr Zakir Naik has rubbished the news that Zakir Naik has been granted Saudi citizenship.
So,Whether Dr Zakir Naik has been granted the Saudi Citizenship or not . We may have to wait to hear it from IRF or Dr Zakir Naik himself.
He is one of the best preacher of Islam I have never heard speaking to boost terror related speaches, he always talk sense and promote the true essence of Islam , Indian govt. is afraid of him because many Hindu have accepted Islam and many more will accept in future. May Allah grant him long life with afiah.
He literally did absolutely nothing wrong and I have never seen a dishonest or incorrect clip of any public work he’s ever done. I will never understand what it is that anyone has against him. May Allah guide us all.
