The Tasbih and its Reward with Allah
1. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ
Transliteration: Subḥānallāh
Meaning: Glory be to Allah.
Reward: A tree is planted in Paradise for every recitation (Tirmidhī).
2. الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ
Transliteration: Al-ḥamdu lillāh
Meaning: All praise is due to Allah.
Reward: It fills the scales with reward on the Day of Judgment (Muslim).
3. اللَّهُ أَكْبَرُ
Transliteration: Allāhu akbar
Meaning: Allah is the Greatest.
Reward: It is greater than everything upon which the sun rises (Muslim).
4. أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ
Transliteration: Astaghfirullāh
Meaning: I seek forgiveness from Allah.
Reward: The Prophet ﷺ would seek forgiveness 70–100 times daily (Bukhārī, Muslim).
5. لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا اللَّهُ وَحْدَهُ لَا شَرِيكَ لَهُ
Transliteration: Lā ilāha illallāhu waḥdahu lā sharīka lah
Meaning: There is no deity except Allah, alone without partner.
Reward: Saying this 100 times equals freeing ten slaves, grants 100 good deeds, erases 100 sins, and protects from Shayṭān all day (Bukhārī, Muslim).
6. لَا حَوْلَ وَلَا قُوَّةَ إِلَّا بِاللَّهِ
Transliteration: Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata illā billāh
Meaning: There is no power and no strength except with Allah.
Reward: A treasure from the treasures of Paradise (Bukhārī, Muslim).
7. سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ وَبِحَمْدِهِ، سُبْحَانَ اللَّهِ الْعَظِيمُ
Transliteration: Subḥānallāhi wa biḥamdih, subḥānallāhil-ʿaẓīm
Meaning: Glory be to Allah and His is the praise, Glory be to Allah the Magnificent.
Reward: Beloved words to Allah; easy on the tongue but heavy on the scale (Bukhārī, Muslim).
8. اللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ وَعَلَى آلِ سَيِّدِنَا مُحَمَّدٍ
Transliteration: Allāhumma ṣalli ʿalā sayyidinā Muḥammad wa ʿalā āli sayyidinā Muḥammad
Meaning: O Allah, send blessings upon our master Muḥammad and upon the family of our master Muḥammad.
Reward: One ṣalawāt brings ten blessings from Allah, erases ten sins, and raises ten ranks (Muslim).
9. لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا أَنْتَ سُبْحَانَكَ إِنِّي كُنْتُ مِنَ الظَّالِمِينَ
Transliteration: Lā ilāha illā anta subḥānaka innī kuntu minaẓ-ẓālimīn
Meaning: There is no deity except You; Glory be to You, indeed I was of the wrongdoers.
Reward: Duʿāʾ of Prophet Yūnus عليه السلام; whoever recites it in hardship, Allah will relieve him (Tirmidhī).
10. حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
Transliteration: Ḥasbunallāhu wa niʿmal-wakīl
Meaning: Allah is sufficient for us, and the best Disposer of affairs.
Reward: The words of Prophet Ibrāhīm عليه السلام when thrown into the fire, and Prophet Muḥammad ﷺ at Uḥud; brings Allah’s protection and sufficiency (Bukhārī).
11. يَا حَيُّ يَا قَيُّومُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ أَسْتَغِيثُ
Transliteration: Yā Ḥayyū Yā Qayyūm, biraḥmatika astaghīth
Meaning: O Ever-Living, O Sustainer, by Your mercy I seek help.
Reward: A powerful duʿā for relief from difficulties and to bring Allah’s aid.
12. أَسْتَغْفِرُ اللَّهَ الْعَظِيمَ الَّذِي لَا إِلٰهَ إِلَّا هُوَ الْحَيُّ الْقَيُّومُ وَأَتُوبُ إِلَيْهِ
Transliteration: Astaghfirullāhal-ʿaẓīma alladhī lā ilāha illā huwa al-ḥayyu al-qayyūmu wa atūbu ilayh
Meaning: I seek forgiveness from Allah the Magnificent, besides whom none has the right to be worshipped, the Ever-Living, the Sustainer, and I repent to Him.
Reward: Whoever recites it will have his sins forgiven even if he had fled from battle (Abū Dāwūd, Tirmidhī).
How Parents Can Use This for Their Children
This digital tasbīḥ is not just for adults—it can also be a wonderful way to nurture the habit of dhikr in children. Parents can create individual profiles for each of their kids and encourage them to recite the daily tasbīḥ.
Every time a child does dhikr, their points are saved, and parents can keep track of each child’s progress. At the end of the week or month, parents may compare the children’s points, and the one with the highest tasbīḥ count can be rewarded with a small gift or a special treat.
This way, the tasbīḥ becomes like a fun game for children—they compete in goodness, earn rewards from their parents, and most importantly, they are filling their scales of good deeds for the Ākhirah.
