Allah swt says in Quran (55:60)
هَلۡ جَزَآءُ الْاِحۡسَانِ اِلَّا الۡاِحۡسَانُ
As we reflect on 2023 and welcome 2024 we may get sad on the target we failed to accomplished or on things that should have happened but it never really happened. I would like all my readers to reflect on the verse= 55-60 of Surah Rahman where Allah says,Can the reward of goodness be any other than goodness?
If we did good but didn’t get the expected results we should not worry but remain steadfast in our good works despite facing challenges.
This beautiful verse assures that the sacrifices made for the sake of Allah, the endurance of hardships for the promotion of good and the avoidance of evil, will not go unrewarded. It underscores the idea that a life devoted to righteousness is intrinsically linked to a reward of goodness in the hereafter.
How, after all, is it possible that Allah should allow to go waste the sacrifices of those righteous servants and should deny them their rewards, who kept themselves subjected to restrictions throughout their lives for the sake of Allah, who avoided the unlawful and remained content with the lawful, who performed their duties faithfully and sincerely, rendered the rights of those to whom rights were due, and endured hardships against evil and upheld good?
Let us keep up our good work and keep striving in the path of Allah.
