It is a monotheistic faith that believes in one God, Allah, and follows the teachings of the Prophet Muhammad, who is considered the last messenger of God. The word Islam means “submission to the will of God,” and its followers are called Muslims.
Islam meaning: Islam is an Abrahamic , heavenly , monotheistic religion, whose people believe in only one God. According to Islam there is one God , and Muhammad (Pbuh) is the Messenger of God.
People who practice Islam are known as Muslims.
Islam teaches that God is merciful, omnipotent and one.
God has guided humanity through prophets and messengers, scriptures and verses.
The basic texts of Islam is Qur’an – which Muslims view as the literal and infallible word of God – and the normative teachings and examples (Sunnah ), which includes the hadiths of the Prophet Muhammad(pbuh).

الإسلام دين إبراهيمي، سماوي، توحيدي، يؤمن أهلُهُ بإله واحد فقط وفقًا للإسلام وهو الله، ومحمد هو رسول الله. ويعرفون باسم المسلمين. يُعلّم الإسلام أن الله هو رحيم، ولديه القدرة الكلية، وهو واحد، وقد أرشد البشرية من خلال الأنبياء والرسل، والكتب المقدسة والآيات. النصوص الأساسية في الإسلام هي القرآن -الذي ينظر إليه المسلمون على أنه كلمة الله الحرفية والمعصومة عن الخطأ – والتعاليم والأمثلة المعيارية (السنة)، والتي تشمل الأحاديث النبوية الخاصة بمحمد.
Muslims believe that Islam is the complete comprehensive version of the doctrine that was revealed many times to prophets, such as Adam , Abraham , Moses and Jesus . Muslims consider the Holy Qur’an the absolute and final revelation from God. Like the other Abrahamic religions , Islam also has a final ruling in which the righteous are granted heaven and the unrighteous are hell. Religious concepts and practices include the Five Pillars of Islam , which are compulsory worship, and following Islamic law, which touches on nearly every aspect of life and society, from banking to women and morals and environment. The word Islam in the lexicon in ” Salam “/«سلم» , which is a source for the quadrilateral verb ” Aslam “. Linguistically, Islam is defined as surrender, and what is meant is surrender to the command and prohibition of God without objection.
كلمة الإسلام يُبحث عنها في المعجم في «سلم»، وهي مصدر لفعل رباعي هو «أسلم». ويُعرَّف الإسلام لُغويًا بأنه الاستسلام، والمقصود الاستسلام لأمر الله ونهيه بلا اعتراض
As for its idiomatic meaning, it is the religion brought by ” Muhammad bin Abdullah “(peace be upon him) which Muslims believe is the Sharia with which God sealed the heavenly messages.
In a hadith on the authority of Abu Hurairah (ra) , the Prophet Muhammad (SAW) defined Islam: “ to worship God and not associate anything with Him, perform the prescribed prayer, pay the obligatory zakat, fast Ramadan, and perform the pilgrimage to the House of God.
أما معناه الاصطلاحي، فهو الدين الذي جاء به «محمد بن عبد الله»، والذي يؤمن المسلمون بأنه الشريعة التي ختم الله بها الرسالات السماوية. وفي حديث عن «أبي هريرة» أن النبي محمد عرّف الإسلام: «بأن تعبد الله ولا تشرك به شيئا وتقيم الصلاة المكتوبة وتؤتي الزكاة المفروضة وتصوم رمضان وتحج بيت الله»
God in Islam
God in Islam is called Allah. Allah is eternal, alive and does not die, and does not neglect. He does justice and does not oppress. He has no partner, no equal, no parent or child. He is most Merciful. He forgives sins and accepts repentance and does not differentiate between people except by their good deeds. He is the creator of the universe and is aware of everything in it and is in control of it.
In the Islamic belief; There is nothing like Allah, meaning that He is completely different from all His creatures and far from human imaginations. so there is no image or anthropomorphic for Him. Muslims believe in His existence and worship Him without seeing Him. Muslims reject the Christian Trinity belief in the existence of God in three persons, as well as rejecting the divinity of Christ , who is a human messenger in the Islamic faith
