  1. Think deeply about the wonders and creation of this universe (3:191)
3.191Such as remember Allah, standing, sitting, and reclining, and consider the creation of the heavens and the earth, (and say): Our Lord! Thou createdst not this in vain. Glory be to Thee! Preserve us from the doom of Fire.Al-Ladhīna Yadhkurūna Allāha Qiyāmāan Wa Qu`ūdāan Wa `Alá Junūbihim Wa Yatafakkarūna Fī Khalqi As-Samāwāti Wa Al-‘Arđi Rabbanā Mā Khalaqta Hādhā Bāţilāan Subĥānaka Faqinā `Adhāba An-Nāri

  1. Men and Women have equal rewards for their deeds (3:195)
3.195And their Lord hath heard them (and He saith): Lo! I suffer not the work of any worker, male or female, to be lost. Ye proceed one from another. So those who fled and were driven forth from their homes and suffered damage for My cause, and fought and were slain, verily I shall remit their evil deeds from them and verily I shall bring them into Gardens underneath which rivers flow – A reward from Allah. And with Allah is the fairest of rewards.Fāstajāba Lahum Rabbuhum ‘Annī Lā ‘Uđī`u `Amala `Āmilin Minkum Min Dhakarin ‘Aw ‘Unthá Ba`đukum Min Ba`đin Fa-Al-Ladhīna Hājarū Wa ‘Ukhrijū Min Diyārihim Wa ‘Ūdhū Fī Sabīlī Wa Qātalū Wa Qutilū La’ukaffiranna `Anhum Sayyi’ātihim Wa La’udkhilannahum Jannātin Tajrī Min Taĥtihā Al-‘Anhāru Thawābāan Min `Indi Allāhi Wa Allāhu `Indahu Ĥusnu AthThawābi
  1. Do not marry those in your blood relation (4:23)
4.23Forbidden unto you are your mothers, and your daughters, and your sisters, and your father´s sisters, and your mother´s sisters, and your brother´s daughters and your sister´s daughters, and your foster-mothers, and your foster-sisters, and your mothers-in-law, and your step-daughters who are under your protection (born) of your women unto whom ye have gone in – but if ye have not gone in unto them, then it is no sin for you (to marry their daughters) – and the wives of your sons who (spring) from your own loins. And (it is forbidden unto you) that ye should have two sisters together, except what hath already happened (of that nature) in the past. Lo! Allah is ever Forgiving, Merciful.Ĥurrimat `Alaykum ‘Ummahātukum Wa Banātukum Wa ‘Akhawātukum Wa `Ammātukum Wa Khālātukum Wa Banātu Al-‘Akhi Wa Banātu Al-‘Ukhti Wa ‘Ummahātukumu Al-Lātī ‘Arđa`nakum Wa ‘Akhawātukum Mina Ar-Rađā`ati Wa ‘Ummahātu Nisā’ikum Wa Rabā’ibukumu Al-Lātī Fī Ĥujūrikum Min Nisā’ikumu Al-Lātī Dakhaltum Bihinna Fa’in Lam Takūnū Dakhaltum Bihinna Falā Junāĥa `Alaykum Wa Ĥalā’ilu ‘Abnā’ikumu Al-Ladhīna Min ‘Aşlābikum Wa ‘An Tajma`ū Bayna Al-‘Ukhtayni ‘Illā Mā Qad Salafa ‘Inna Allāha Kāna Ghafūrāan Raĥīmāan

Family should be led by men (4:34)

4.34Men are in charge of women, because Allah hath made the one of them to excel the other, and because they spend of their property (for the support of women). So good women are the obedient, guarding in secret that which Allah hath guarded. As for those from whom ye fear rebellion, admonish them and banish them to beds apart, and scourge them. Then if they obey you, seek not a way against them. Lo! Allah is ever High, Exalted, Great.Ar-Rijālu Qawwāmūna `Alá An-Nisā’ Bimā Fađđala Allāhu Ba`đahum `Alá Ba`đin Wa Bimā ‘Anfaqū Min ‘Amwālihim Fālşşāliĥātu Qānitātun Ĥāfižātun Lilghaybi Bimā Ĥafiža Allāhu Wa Al-Lātī Takhāfūna Nushūzahunna Fa`ižūhunna Wa Ahjurūhunna Fī Al-Mađāji`i Wa Ađribūhunna Fa’in ‘Aţa`nakum Falā Tabghū `Alayhinna Sabīlāan ‘Inna Allāha Kāna `Alīyāan Kabīrāan

Do not be miserly (4:37)

4.37Who hoard their wealth and enjoin avarice on others, and hide that which Allah hath bestowed upon them of His bounty. For disbelievers We prepare a shameful doom;Al-Ladhīna Yabkhalūna Wa Ya’murūna An-Nāsa Bil-Bukhli Wa Yaktumūna Mā ‘Ātāhumu Allāhu Min Fađlihi Wa ‘A`tadnā Lilkāfirīna `Adhābāan Muhīnāan

56.Do not keep envy (4:54)

4.54Or are they jealous of mankind because of that which Allah of His bounty hath bestowed upon them? For We bestowed upon the house of Abraham (of old) the Scripture and wisdom, and We bestowed on them a mighty kingdom.‘Am Yaĥsudūna An-Nāsa `Alá Mā ‘Ātāhumu Allāhu Min Fađlihi Faqad ‘Ātaynā ‘Āla ‘Ibrāhīma Al-Kitāba Wa Al-Ĥikmata Wa ‘Ātaynāhum Mulkāan `Ažīmāan

Do not kill each other (4:92)

4.92It is not for a believer to kill a believer unless (it be) by mistake. He who hath killed a believer by mistake must set free a believing slave, and pay the blood-money to the family of the slain, unless they remit it as a charity. If he (the victim) be of a people hostile unto you, and he is a believer, then (the penance is) to set free a believing slave. And if he cometh of a folk between whom and you there is a covenant, then the blood-money must be paid unto his folk and (also) a believing slave must be set free. And whoso hath not the wherewithal must fast two consecutive months. A penance from Allah. Allah is Knower, Wise.Wa Mā Kāna Limu’uminin ‘An Yaqtula Mu’umināan ‘Illā Khaţa’an Wa Man Qatala Mu’umināan Khaţa’an Fataĥrīru Raqabatin Mu’uminatin Wa Diyatun Musallamatun ‘Ilá ‘Ahlihi ‘Illā ‘An Yaşşaddaqū Fa’in Kāna Min Qawmin `Adūwin Lakum Wa Huwa Mu’uminun Fataĥrīru Raqabatin Mu’uminatin Wa ‘In Kāna Min Qawmin Baynakum Wa Baynahum Mīthāqun Fadiyatun Musallamatun ‘Ilá ‘Ahlihi Wa Taĥrīru Raqabatin Mu’uminatin Faman Lam Yajid Faşiyāmu Shahrayni Mutatābi`ayni Tawbatan Mina Allāhi Wa Kāna Allāhu `Alīmāan Ĥakīmāan

Do not be an advocate for deceit (4:105)

4.105Lo! We reveal unto thee the Scripture with the truth, that thou mayst judge between mankind by that which Allah showeth thee. And be not thou a pleader for the treacherous;‘Innā ‘Anzalnā ‘Ilayka Al-Kitāba Bil-Ĥaqqi Litaĥkuma Bayna An-Nāsi Bimā ‘Arāka Allāhu Wa Lā Takun Lilkhā’inīna Khaşīmāan

Do not cooperate in sin and aggression (5:2)

Cooperate in righteousness (5:2)

5.2O ye who believe! Profane not Allah´s monuments nor the Sacred Month nor the offerings nor the garlands, nor those repairing to the Sacred House, seeking the grace and pleasure of their Lord. But when ye have left the sacred territory, then go hunting (if ye will). And let not your hatred of a folk who (once) stopped your going to the inviolable place of worship seduce you to transgress; but help ye one another unto righteousness and pious duty. Help not one another unto sin and transgression, but keep your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is severe in punishment

’Having majority’ is not a criterion of truth (6:116)

6.116If thou obeyedst most of those on earth they would mislead thee far from Allah´s way. They follow naught but an opinion, and they do but guess.Wa ‘In Tuţi` ‘Akthara Man Fī Al-‘Arđi Yuđillūka `An Sabīli Allāhi ‘In Yattabi`ūna ‘Illā Až-Žanna Wa ‘In Hum ‘Illā Yakhruşūna

Be just (5:8)

5.8O ye who believe! Be steadfast witnesses for Allah in equity, and let not hatred of any people seduce you that ye deal not justly. Deal justly, that is nearer to your duty. Observe your duty to Allah. Lo! Allah is Informed of what ye do.Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Kūnū Qawwāmīna Lillāhi Shuhadā’a Bil-Qisţi Wa Lā Yajrimannakum Shana’ānu Qawmin `Alá ‘Allā Ta`dilū A`dilū Huwa ‘Aqrabu Lilttaqwá Wa Attaqū Allāha ‘Inna Allāha Khabīrun Bimā Ta`malūna

Punish for crimes in an exemplary way (5:38)

5.38As for the thief, both male and female, cut off their hands. It is the reward of their own deeds, an exemplary punishment from Allah. Allah is Mighty, Wise.Wa As-Sāriqu Wa As-Sāriqatu Fāqţa`ū ‘Aydiyahumā Jazā’an Bimā Kasabā Nakālāan Mina Allāhi Wa Allāhu `Azīzun Ĥakīmun

Strive against sinful and unlawful acts (5:63)

5.63Why do not the rabbis and the priests forbid their evil-speaking and their devouring of illicit gain? Verily evil is their handiwork.Lawlā Yanhāhumu Ar-Rabbānīyūna Wa Al-‘Aĥbāru `An Qawlihimu Al-‘Ithma Wa ‘Aklihimu As-Suĥta Labi’sa Mā Kānū Yaşna`ūna

Dead animals, blood, the flesh of swine are prohibited (5:3)

5.3Forbidden unto you (for food) are carrion and blood and swineflesh, and that which hath been dedicated unto any other than Allah, and the strangled, and the dead through beating, and the dead through falling from a height, and that which hath been killed by (the goring of) horns, and the devoured of wild beasts, saving that which ye make lawful (by the death-stroke), and that which hath been immolated unto idols. And (forbidden is it) that ye swear by the divining arrows. This is an abomination. This day are those who disbelieve in despair of (ever harming) your religion; so fear them not, fear Me! This day have I perfected your religion for you and completed My favour unto you, and have chosen for you as religion al-Islam. Whoso is forced by hunger, not by will, to sin: (for him) lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.
  1. Avoid intoxicants and alcohol (5:90)
  2. Do not gamble (5:90)
5.90O ye who believe! Strong drink and games of chance and idols and divining arrows are only an infamy of Satan´s handiwork. Leave it aside in order that ye may succeed.Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū ‘Innamā Al-Khamru Wa Al-Maysiru Wa Al-‘Anşābu Wa Al-‘Azlāmu Rijsun Min `Amali AshShayţāni Fājtanibūhu La`allakum Tufliĥūna

Do not insult others’ deities (6:108)

6.108Revile not those unto whom they pray beside Allah lest they wrongfully revile Allah through ignorance. Thus unto every nation have We made their deed seem fair. Then unto their Lord is their return, and He will tell them what they used to do.Wa Lā Tasubbū Al-Ladhīna Yad`ūna Min Dūni Allāhi Fayasubbū Allāha `Adwan Bighayri `Ilmin Kadhālika Zayyannā Likulli ‘Ummatin `Amalahum Thumma ‘Ilá Rabbihim Marji`uhum Fayunabbi’uhum Bimā Kānū Ya`malūna

Don’t reduce weight or measure to cheat people (6:152)

6.152And approach not the wealth of the orphan save with that which is better, till he reach maturity. Give full measure and full weight, in justice. We task not any soul beyond its scope. And if ye give your word, do justice thereunto, even though it be (against) a kinsman; and fulfil the covenant of Allah. This He commandeth you that haply ye may remember.Wa Lā Taqrabū Māla Al-Yatīmi ‘Illā Bi-Atī Hiya ‘Aĥsanu Ĥattá Yablugha ‘Ashuddahu Wa ‘Awfū Al-Kayla Wa Al-Mīzāna Bil-Qisţi Lā Nukallifu Nafsāan ‘Illā Wus`ahā Wa ‘Idhā Qultum Fā`dilū Wa Law Kāna Dhā Qurbá Wa Bi`ahdi Allāhi ‘Awfū Dhālikum Waşşākum Bihi La`allakum Tadhakkarūna
  1. Eat and Drink, But Be Not Excessive (7:31)
  2. Wear good cloths during prayer times (7:31)
7.31O Children of Adam! Look to your adornment at every place of worship, and eat and drink, but be not prodigal. Lo! He loveth not the prodigals.Yā Banī ‘Ādama Khudhū Zīnatakum `Inda Kulli Masjidin Wa Kulū Wa Ashrabū Wa Lā Tusrifū ‘Innahu Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Musrifīna

protect and help those who seek protection (9:6)

9.6And if anyone of the idolaters seeketh thy protection (O Muhammad), then protect him so that he may hear the Word of Allah, and afterward convey him to his place of safety. That is because they are a folk who know not.Wa ‘In ‘Aĥadun Mina Al-Mushrikīna Astajāraka Fa’ajirhu Ĥattá Yasma`a Kalāma Allāhi Thumma ‘Abligh/hu Ma’manahu Dhālika Bi’annahum Qawmun Lā Ya`lamūna

Keep Purity (9:108)

9.108Never stand (to pray) there. A place of worship which was found upon duty (to Allah) from the first day is more worthy that thou shouldst stand (to pray) therein, wherein are men who love to purify themselves. Allah loveth the purifiers.Lā Taqum Fīhi ‘Abadāan Lamasjidun ‘Ussisa `Alá At-Taqwá Min ‘Awwali Yawmin ‘Aĥaqqu ‘An Taqūma Fīhi Fīhi Rijālun Yuĥibbūna ‘An Yataţahharū Wa Allāhu Yuĥibbu Al-Muţţahhirīna

Never give up hope of Allah’s Mercy (12:87)

12.87Go, O my sons, and ascertain concerning Joseph and his brother, and despair not of the Spirit of Allah. Lo! none despaireth of the Spirit of Allah save disbelieving folk.Yā Banīya Adh/habū Fataĥassasū Min Yūsufa Wa ‘Akhīhi Wa Lā Tay’asū Min Rawĥi Allāhi ‘Innahu Lā Yay’asu Min Rawĥi Allāhi ‘Illā Al-Qawmu Al-Kāfirūna

Allah will forgive those who have done wrong out of ignorance (16:119)

16.119Then lo! thy Lord – for those who do evil in ignorance and afterward repent and amend – lo! (for them) thy Lord is afterward indeed Forgiving, Merciful.Thumma ‘Inna Rabbaka Lilladhīna `Amilū As-Sū’a Bijahālatin Thumma Tābū Min Ba`di Dhālika Wa ‘Aşlaĥū ‘Inna Rabbaka Min Ba`dihā Laghafūrun Raĥīmun

Invitation to God should be with wisdom and good instruction (16:125)

16.125Call unto the way of thy Lord with wisdom and fair exhortation, and reason with them in the better way. Lo! thy Lord is Best Aware of him who strayeth from His way, and He is Best Aware of those who go aright.Ad`u ‘Ilá Sabīli Rabbika Bil-Ĥikmati Wa Al-Maw`ižati Al-Ĥasanati Wa Jādilhum Bi-Atī Hiya ‘Aĥsanu ‘Inna Rabbaka Huwa ‘A`lamu Biman Đalla `An Sabīlihi Wa Huwa ‘A`lamu Bil-Muhtadīna

No one will bear others’ sins (17:15)

17.15Whosoever goeth right, it is only for (the good of) his own soul that he goeth right, and whosoever erreth, erreth only to its hurt. No laden soul can bear another´s load, We never punish until we have sent a messenger.Mani Ahtadá Fa’innamā Yahtadī Linafsihi Wa Man Đalla Fa’innamā Yađillu `Alayhā Wa Lā Taziru Wāziratun Wizra ‘Ukhrá Wa Mā Kunnā Mu`adhibīna Ĥattá Nab`atha Rasūlāan

Do not kill your children for fear of poverty (17:31)

17.31Slay not your children, fearing a fall to poverty, We shall provide for them and for you. Lo! the slaying of them is great sin.Wa Lā Taqtulū ‘Awlādakum Khashyata ‘Imlāqin Naĥnu Narzuquhum Wa ‘Īyākum ‘Inna Qatlahum Kāna Khiţ’āan Kabīrāan

Do not pursue that of which you have no knowledge (17:36)

17.36(O man), follow not that whereof thou hast no knowledge. Lo! the hearing and the sight and the heart – of each of these it will be asked.Wa Lā Taqfu Mā Laysa Laka Bihi `Ilmun ‘Inna As-Sam`a Wa Al-Başara Wa Al-Fu’uāda Kullu ‘Ūlā’ika Kāna `Anhu Mas’ūlāan

Keep aloof from what is vain (23:3)

23.3And who shun vain conversation,Wa Al-Ladhīna Hum `Ani Al-Laghwi Mu`riđūna

Do not enter others’ houses without seeking permission (24:27)

24.27O ye who believe! Enter not houses other than your own without first announcing your presence and invoking peace upon the folk thereof. That is better for you, that ye may be heedful.Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Lā Tadkhulū Buyūtāan Ghayra Buyūtikum Ĥattá Tasta’nisū Wa Tusallimū `Alá ‘Ahlihā Dhālikum Khayrun Lakum La`allakum Tadhakkarūna
24 27

Allah will provide security for those who believe only in Allah (24:55)

24.55Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good work that He will surely make them to succeed (the present rulers) in the earth even as He caused those who were before them to succeed (others); and that He will surely establish for them their religion which He hath approved for them, and will give them in exchange safety after their fear. They serve Me. They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me. Those who disbelieve henceforth, they are the miscreants.

Walk on earth in humility (25:63)

25.63The (faithful) slaves of the Beneficent are they who walk upon the earth modestly, and when the foolish ones address them answer: Peace;Wa `Ibādu Ar-Raĥmāni Al-Ladhīna Yamshūna `Alá Al-‘Arđi Hawnāan Wa ‘Idhā Khāţabahumu Al-Jāhilūna Qālū Salāmāan

Do not neglect your portion of this world (28:77)

28.77But seek the abode of the Hereafter in that which Allah hath given thee and neglect not thy portion of the world, and be thou kind even as Allah hath been kind to thee, and seek not corruption in the earth; lo! Allah loveth not corrupters,Wa Abtaghi Fīmā ‘Ātāka Allāhu Ad-Dāra Al-‘Ākhirata Wa Lā Tansa Naşībaka Mina Ad-Dunyā Wa ‘Aĥsin Kamā ‘Aĥsana Allāhu ‘Ilayka Wa Lā Tabghi Al-Fasāda Fī Al-‘Arđi ‘Inna Allāha Lā Yuĥibbu Al-Mufsidīna

Invoke not any other god along with Allah (28:88)

28.88And cry not unto any other god along with Allah. There is no Allah save Him. Everything will perish save His countenance. His is the command, and unto Him ye will be brought back.Wa Lā Tad`u Ma`a Allāhi ‘Ilahāan ‘Ākhara Lā ‘Ilāha ‘Illā Huwa Kullu Shay’in Hālikun ‘Illā Wajhahu Lahu Al-Ĥukmu Wa ‘Ilayhi Turja`ūna

Do not engage in homosexuality (29:29)

29.29For come ye not in unto males, and cut ye not the road (for travellers), and commit ye not abomination in your meetings? But the answer of his folk was only that they said: Bring Allah´s doom upon us if thou art a truthteller!‘A’innakum Lata’tūna Ar-Rijāla Wa Taqţa`ūna As-Sabīla Wa Ta’tūna Fī Nādīkumu Al-Munkara Famā Kāna Jawāba Qawmihi ‘Illā ‘An Qālū A‘tinā Bi`adhābi Allāhi ‘In Kunta Mina Aş-Şādiqīna

Enjoin right, forbid wrong (31:17)

31.17O my dear son! Establish worship and enjoin kindness and forbid iniquity, and persevere whatever may befall thee. Lo! that is of the steadfast heart of things.Yā Bunayya ‘Aqimi Aş-Şalāata Wa ‘Mur Bil-Ma`rūfi Wa Anha `Ani Al-Munkari Wa Aşbir `Alá Mā ‘Aşābaka ‘Inna Dhālika Min `Azmi Al-‘Umūri

Do not walk in insolence through the earth (31:18)

31.18Turn not thy cheek in scorn toward folk, nor walk with pertness in the land. Lo! Allah loveth not each braggart boaster.Wa Lā Tuşa“ir Khaddaka Lilnnāsi Wa Lā Tamshi Fī Al-‘Arđi Maraĥāan ‘Inna Allāha Lā Yuĥibbu Kulla Mukhtālin Fakhūrin

Women should not display their finery (33:33)

33.33And stay in your houses. Bedizen not yourselves with the bedizenment of the Time of Ignorance. Be regular in prayer, and pay the poor-due, and obey Allah and His messenger. Allah´s wish is but to remove uncleanness far from you, O Folk of the Household, and cleanse you with a thorough cleansing.
  1. Allah forgives all sins (39:53)
  2. Do not despair of the mercy of Allah (39:53)
39.53Say: O My slaves who have been prodigal to their own hurt! Despair not of the mercy of Allah, Who forgiveth all sins. Lo! He is the Forgiving, the Merciful.Qul Yā `Ibādī Al-Ladhīna ‘Asrafū `Alá ‘Anfusihim Lā Taqnaţū Min Raĥmati Allāhi ‘Inna Allāha Yaghfiru AdhDhunūba Jamī`āan ‘Innahu Huwa Al-Ghafūru Ar-Raĥīmu

Repel evil by good (41:34)

41.34The good deed and the evil deed are not alike. Repel the evil deed with one which is better, then lo! he, between whom and thee there was enmity (will become) as though he was a bosom friend.Wa Lā Tastawī Al-Ĥasanatu Wa Lā As-Sayyi’atu Adfa` Bi-Atī Hiya ‘Aĥsanu Fa’idhā Al-Ladhī Baynaka Wa Baynahu `Adāwatun Ka’annahu Wa Līyun Ĥamīmun

Decide on affairs by consultation (42:38)

42.38And those who answer the call of their Lord and establish worship, and whose affairs are a matter of counsel, and who spend of what We have bestowed on them,Wa Al-Ladhīna Astajābū Lirabbihim Wa ‘Aqāmū Aş-Şalāata Wa ‘Amruhum Shūrá Baynahum Wa Mimmā Razaqnāhum Yunfiqūna

Most noble of you is the most righteous (49:13)

49.13O mankind! Lo! We have created you male and female, and have made you nations and tribes that ye may know one another. Lo! the noblest of you, in the sight of Allah, is the best in conduct. Lo! Allah is Knower, Aware.Yā ‘Ayyuhā An-Nāsu ‘Innā Khalaqnākum Min Dhakarin Wa ‘Unthá Wa Ja`alnākum Shu`ūbāan Wa Qabā’ila Lita`ārafū ‘Inna ‘Akramakum `Inda Allāhi ‘Atqākum ‘Inna Allāha `Alīmun Khabīrun

No Monasticism in religion (57:27)

52.27But Allah hath been gracious unto us and hath preserved us from the torment of the breath of Fire.Famanna Allāhu `Alaynā Wa Waqānā `Adhāba As-Samūmi

Those who have knowledge will be given a higher degree by Allah (58:11)

58.11O ye who believe! when it is said unto you, Make room! in assemblies, then make room; Allah will make way for you (hereafter). And when it is said, Come up higher! go up higher; Allah will exalt those who believe among you, and those who have knowledge, to high ranks. Allah is Informed of what ye do.Yā ‘Ayyuhā Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū ‘Idhā Qīla Lakum Tafassaĥū Fī Al-Majālisi Fāfsaĥū Yafsaĥi Allāhu Lakum Wa ‘Idhā Qīla Anshuzū Fānshuzū Yarfa`i Allāhu Al-Ladhīna ‘Āmanū Minkum Wa Al-Ladhīna ‘Ūtū Al-`Ilma Darajātin Wa Allāhu Bimā Ta`malūna Khabīrun

Treat non-Muslims in a kind and fair manner (60:8)

60.8Allah forbiddeth you not those who warred not against you on account of religion and drove you not out from your homes, that ye should show them kindness and deal justly with them. Lo! Allah loveth the just dealers.Lā Yanhākumu Allāhu `Ani Al-Ladhīna Lam Yuqātilūkum Fī Ad-Dīni Wa Lam Yukhrijūkum Min Diyārikum ‘An Tabarrūhum Wa Tuqsiţū ‘Ilayhim ‘Inna Allāha Yuĥibbu Al-Muqsiţīna

Save yourself from covetousness (64:16)

64.16So keep your duty to Allah as best ye can, and listen, and obey, and spend; that is better for your souls. And whoso is saved from his own greed, such are the successful.Fāttaqū Allāha Mā Astaţa`tum Wa Asma`ū Wa ‘Aţī`ū Wa ‘Anfiqū Khayrāan Li’nfusikum Wa Man Yūqa Shuĥĥa Nafsihi Fa’ūlā’ika Humu Al-Mufliĥūna

Seek forgiveness of Allah. He is Forgiving and Merciful (73:20)

73.20Lo! thy Lord knoweth how thou keepest vigil sometimes nearly two-thirds of the night, or (sometimes) half or a third thereof, as do a party of those with thee. Allah measureth the night and the day. He knoweth that ye count it not, and turneth unto you in mercy. Recite, then, of the Qur´an that which is easy for you. He knoweth that there are sick folk among you, while others travel in the land in search of Allah´s bounty, and others (still) are fighting for the cause of Allah. So recite of it that which is easy (for you), and establish worship and pay the poor-due, and (so) lend unto Allah a goodly loan. Whatsoever good ye send before you for your souls, ye will find it with Allah, better and greater in the recompense. And seek forgiveness of Allah. Lo! Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

Do not repel one who asks (93:10)

93.10Therefor the beggar drive not away,Wa ‘Ammā As-Sā’ila Falā Tanhar
