Dua for New Year : Dua at the beginning of the year and Dua at the end of the year.
The Muharram 1 crescent, which marks the beginning of the Hijri (Islamic) New Year, was spotted in Saudi Arabia on Friday Alhumdulillah. So If you haven’t read your dua, you can read it now.

Hadhrat ‘Abdullah ibn Hisham (Radiyallahu ‘Anhu) reported that the Sahabah (Radiyallahu ‘Anhum) would learn the following Dua for when the new month or new year would begin:
“O Allah, bring this (month or year) upon us with security and faith, safety and Islam, and Your pleasure, and protection from shaytaan.”

SUPPLICATION UPON SIGHTING A NEW MOON
Allah is the Greatest. O Allah, bring us the new moon with security and Faith, with peace and in Islam, and in harmony with what our Lord loves and what pleases Him. Our Lord and your Lord is Allah.

Dear concerns,
Dua mention here on your forum for the new year has a major mistake. In the ending words of dua, it is written ”
wa jiwaRim minash shaytan
———————
The actual word is “wa jawaZim minash shaytan”

Assalamu Alaikum wrwb ,
Jazak Allah Khair @kamran. The dua was forwarded to us by our teacher which they took from Jamiat Ulama,South Africa. I have uploaded the new poster with dua extracted from hadith (al mu’jam al awsat Jild 4 Tibrani- Hadith # 6241) and I have also included the full hadith in this post. But the earlier Poster was not a major mistake. Many ulema have taken the word “jiwar ” and the narration with jiwar is more famous.
There are other narration “{ ( معجم الصحابة (3/543} which you can check here : https://www.ahlalhdeeth.com/vb/showthread.php?t=146982
