Raudah-Masjid Nabawi is the only place on earth which is the paradise on earth. The ladies section of Raudah is a little different from the Raudhah of Men Section .It has a different timing and the experience is also a little different.I would like to share my experience of visiting the Prophet’s mosque. It was 23rd of Ramadan.
Note: Click here to >>>>see the blessed pillars of Masjid Nabawi
The Masjid houses the garden from Paradise. It is called the “RAUDAH”. The Raudah ul jannah opens for a short time for ladies(after isha till 12.00am,for a short time during duhr and after fajr.Fajr is the best time as It remains Open till 10.am). My first visit to raudah-masjid Nabawi is the most memorable day of my life.
I can recall it as if it happened yesterday.I was standing on the sahn of the masjid waiting for my chance to get entry into Raudah ul jannah. It was a precious moment.I desparately wanted to pray in Raudah, the green carpet.. I remembered the prophet’s saying:
I was standing there with thousand of ladies waiting desperately to be granted an entry but the door was closed .I was getting restless as it was ramadhan and I was tired after the iftar. A lady tried to calm the crowd by reminding the hadeeth of prophet “The Prophet (salAllahu `alaihi wa sallam)has said, “Hell has been veiled with desires, and Paradise has been veiled with [surrounded by] hardships”. This was like a dose of glucose for me. I gathered myself up with much more energy. I stood there sending darood on our beloved prophet. After half an hour the door opened and what a rush it was?
Women sitting at the back stood up and then it was like go ! I too gathered momentum when the others did and all of a sudden everyone started running. There were guard standing at the corner, telling the women off for running and repeating, “ehteram”… not that it made much difference and while they all picked up their abayas and ran for their lives, I walked at a normal fast pace..
So, we entered in a huge crowd sending salaam on prophet.
Our rasulallah returns our salaam as evident by the hadith:It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: “There is no one who sends salams upon me, but Allaah will restore to me my soul so that I may return his salaams.”(Saheeh Sunan Abi Dawood, 1795)
After surviving a lots of scrum,I was finally able to reach the green carpet.I was getting pushed and pulled in the crowd. All the while women were falling over themselves, pushing and shoving.. suddenly I found myself shaded by three helpful saudi ladies, who held hands making a semicircle, blocking other people from my way so,that I could read 2 rakat of salah.
SubhanAllah! Now I had this small area infront of me which seemed to be cordoned off.. no one entered into it.Here I performed two raka’at ‘tahiyyatul Masjid’ reciting ‘Surah Kafiroon’ in the first raka’at and ‘Surah Ikhlas’ in the second raka’at..Alhumdulillah Allah made it easy for me.
I go speechless when I remember my salah on the carpet of jannah.I literally cried praying to Allah subhanatallah.My legs went numb and my mind scrambled. I kissed that place of Paradise in awe of where I was standing. Here I prayed a dua which a blessed lady once told me to pray in this garden of Paradise . I prayed;
Then I looked around and turned towards the roza mubarak of holy prophet , I felt a dignified presence of the greatest personality-RasulAllah,the most elevated of all creation.
The sight of that place, the Roza Mubarak breaks you emotionally, brings you to your knees in realisation of the presence. It is beyond belief that you are in the presence of Rasulullah (salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi wasallam). Here when you send salutations on the blessed Prophet (salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi wasallam) you know that Rasulullah (salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi wasallam) is returning the salaam.
Although women don’t have much acess to Roza mumarak. And it is not recommended for women to stand there peeping at prophet(pbuh),I would like to share a useful piece of information of information for my brothers,
“when facing the grave of Rasoolullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam, there are three gold wire-mesh enclosures. There are round holes in all these three enclosures. Most people are under the wrong impression that Rasoolullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam is resting inside the first enclosure, Abu Bakr radhiyallahu anhu is in the second and ‘Umar radhiyallahu anhu is in the third one. This is not so. They are all resting inside the middle enclosure. There are three round holes in the middle enclosure, while only two in the enclosure on your left and two in the enclosure on your right. The first hole in the middle enclosure (which is the largest of all) directly faces the holy face of Rasoolullah sallallahu alayhi wasallam. Moving slightly to the right is the second hole (of the middle enclosure) which faces the face of Abu Bakr radhiyallahu anhu. Likewise, a third hole on this same enclosure marks the spot where the face of ‘Umar radhiyallahu anhu rests.”
I thanked Allah heartily.I supplicated to Allah for my husband,my child,my parents,my relatives and for the whole ummah. This gathering is the highest place to supplicate to Allah (swt). There is no place within this World or within the seven heavens which is more beloved to Allah (swt) than the resting place of His beloved; Rasulullah (salla lahu alayhi wa’ale hi Wasallam).
It was painful to leave the blessed presence of prophet but eventually I had to leave the most blessed station of Paradise in the state I had entered, which was in a state of humility and tears. Ya Rasulullah! Peace be upon you.
So,this was my First experience on raudah-the most blessed place on Earth.
And Now after having Visited Masjid Nabawi Innumerous times,I would like to give some firsthand advice to my Sisters:

I don't know you or know how I found your post and why you responded but subhanAllah it gave me peace and tonight when they showed me where to go and let me pray on that blessed space you came to my mind. جزاكم الله خيراً. Truly I need to learn sabr and to trust Allah فَبِأَيِّ آلَاءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ Thank you
ZaJak Allah dear sister .May Allah accept your prayer.
Dear sister i have a question. Can a menstruating woman do ziyarah?? But reply fast..
Assalamu Alaikum,
Dear sister ,what my teachers say is that you can pass by the mosque ,even enter the courtyard but not the main gate of the mosque .For doing jiyarat you need to enter the mosque and pray and so you should avoid it .
If you wish to send darood and Salam on the prophet pbuh ,you can do it from anywhere .
Jazak Allah dear for writing to us.
Assalamu alaikum
Dear Sister, Thank you so much for writing this page for us - I was literally cried when I read your experience of salah in the Raudhah . So happy to read your experience Ma Sya Allah - may Allah accept all your prayer - and I prayed that Allah will give me me and my daughter to perform salah there too. My family of four (me, my husband, 11 years old daughter and 7 years old son) have a plan to do Umra In sya Allah next March
Since this will be our first time, would you mind if I ask you couple of things please?
- the gate number is written on Arabic number only or there is a latin number?
- is there any other gate that woman can used other than number 25?
- is there any place that family can meet and sit while waiting for the next salah?
many thanks sister
May Allah pour His mercy upon you and all of us - Ameen

Walekum Assalam
May Allah accept your duas .
Dear Sis,I promise that you will enjoy your stay in Madina. It is such a blessed place Masha Allah !
You asked me certain questions.I am trying to answer it to the best of my knowledge.
The gate numbers are written in arabic aswell as english. Ther are lots of gates by which women can enter inside the Masjid. There are boards outside saying women only area. The gate number 25 which I talked in the post is about the gate through which we enter into the rawdah at fixed times. And yes,the families can sit anywhere outside the women'area in the courtyard of Masjid Nabawi.
Hope you got your answer. If there is any other way in which I can help you, feel free to ask.I will be glad to be of help.
Jazak Allah Khair.

Assalamualaikum sister,
Recently I came back from Masjib Nawabi and did not do all of these information you shared. In sha allah, I will do next time.It will be very helpful. Thank you so much sister and give please convey salam to the prophet Mohammad (PBUH).
Ameen
JAK for sharing your experience, dear sister.
Are you still in Madinah? If so then please convey my Salam.
Walekum assalam.
Yes,I live in Madinah now, alhumdulillah. In sha Allah,I will remember your request in the next visit.
Asalam o alaikum it is really a blessed felling to be in Madina, i am having most memorable moments of my life here. I had visited riadul jinnah 3 time in quit rush times . I have a question how many times a person should visit riyadul Jinnah???? Because its quit a rush place and people overlape each other, if we reduce our repeatedly visits other people might get chance to visit this holy place with peace.
the wooden gates with the white banners?
جزاكم الله خيراً
Yes indeed.
Salaam
May Allah Almighty reward you in abundance for the precious information that you have provided.
I will ان شاءالله be travelling to Madina Paak with my family very soon and had a question. Do sisters do ziyarah of the blessed roza from the same location as the brothers or is it from the opposite side?
Assalamu alaikum,
In Masjid Nabawi, the ladies section is different from the gents section(unlike Masjid al Haram -Mecca). Roza mubarak opens though the ladies prayer area and they are allowed only to certain extent .For instance the pulpit is inaccessible to the women .
Remember us in your prayer .JazakAllah Khair.
Salams I only speak English and tried to go and the guards just keep pointing in a general direction and saying InshaAllah after wondering around for 15 minutes I went back out to ask and they said "kalas" I hve only one more chance before I leave so any more slecific directions once you enter gate 25 would be nice. Signs would be nice
Walekum Assalam @kirin.
Go to Rawdah during morning.Straight after fajr .They open the gates for a relatively more time then.
And yes, they do tell you to go back . but do not go any far from the gates and keep eye on the gates . Pray to Allah to give you a chance. In sha Allah ,you will not have any problem.
