We should do Dua for health. Here is a compilation of Dua for the sick, Dua for shifa
Allah Ta‘ala says:
And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to the patient ones. (Al-Baqara: 155)
The condition of our health is a test from Allah. As believers, we believe in taqdir and destiny. We believe that all good and bad is from Allah. It is wajib (obligatory) to be happy with taqdir as that is the will of Allah.
Almighty Allah is Al-Hakim (the All-Wise). Every act of Allah has wisdom in it. Our present health situation is decreed by Allah. There is some good hidden in this situation which we cannot comprehend. What we should do is to Submit to the will of Allah and make du‘a to Allah to grant us cure. If we believe that sickness is from Allah, then we also believe that cure is also from Allah. We should turn to Allah with full conviction and be positive.
Allah expiates sin
Abu Sa’eed al-Khudri and Abu Hurayrah r.a. reported that the Prophet s.a.w. said:
No tiredness, exhaustion, worry, grief, distress or harm befalls a believer in this world, not even a thorn that pricks him, but Allah expiates some of his sins thereby.(Sahih Al-Bukhari)
Undergoing Treatment for Sickness
On top of seeking medical treatment, we need to seek help from Him, for indeed He is The One who can cure illnesses and save us from any harm.
Allah has sent down the disease and the cure and has made for every disease the cure.(Sunan Abi Daud)

A dua for sick
O Allah, grant shifa (healing) to those who are sick and ailing.
O my beloved Allah, shifa is in Your hands.
O Allah, we know that there is effect in du’aa and there is effect in medication, but O Allah, shifa is in Your hands.
O Allah, we know that sometimes sickness is a rahmat and a blessing in a disguised form, but we are extremely weak.
O Allah, even if such sickness is a rahmat…O Allah, change it to the rahmat of good health.
O Allah, grant us shifa from all sicknesses and ailments – physical and spiritual.
O Allah, bless us with physical health and spiritual health.
Ammen. Ya Rabbul Alamin.
