Night of Qadr in the last ten nights

Narrated `Aisha ra:

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) used to practice I`tikaf in the last ten nights of Ramadan and used to say, “Look for the Night of Qadr in the last ten nights of the month of Ramadan.”

What is Laylatul Qadr?

Allah says in Quran,

“In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.

  1. Indeed, We sent the Qur’an down during the Night of Decree.
  2. And what can make you know what is the Night of Decree?
  3. The Night of Decree is better than a thousand months.
  4. The angels and the Spirit descend therein by permission of their Lord for every matter.
  5. Peace it is until the emergence of dawn.” (Surah Al-Qadr, 97:1-5)

The Quran describes Laylatul Qadr as better than a thousand months, emphasizing its extraordinary spiritual value. Worship and good deeds performed on this night are believed to be magnified in reward as if they were performed continuously for a thousand months or more.

On Laylatul Qadr, the angels descend to Earth with divine decrees and blessings, and the peace and tranquility of this night remain until the break of dawn.

Laylatul Qadr is a night of immense spiritual significance, marked by the revelation of the Quran, abundant blessings, and divine mercy. Muslims are encouraged to seek this blessed night in the last ten days of Ramadan, engaging in worship, supplication, and acts of devotion to maximize the blessings and rewards bestowed during this auspicious time.
