I am pleased with Allah as my Rabb

Radhitu Billahi Rabba Dua

One Dua I love to recite at all times is

I am pleased with Allah as my Rabb 3

It means :

“I am Pleased with Allah as my Lord, with Islam as my religion, and with Muhammad (SallaAllahu ‘alayhi wasallam) as my Prophet.”

  1. “Raditu Billahi Rabban” – “I am content with Allah as my Lord”
  2. “wa bil Islami dinan” – “and with Islam as my religion”
  3. “wa bi Muhammadin sall-Allahu ‘alayhi wa sallama Nabiyyan” – “and with Muhammad (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) as my Prophet”

Reference Raditu Billahi Rabban dua:

Thauban reported God’s messenger as saying that if any Muslim says three times evening and morning, “I am pleased with God as Lord, with Islam as religion, and with Muhammad as Prophet,” God will certainly please him on the day of resurrection. Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it.

In another Hadith:

Sa‘d b. Abu Waqqas reported God’s Messenger as saying:

If anyone says when he hears the mu’adhdhin, “I testify that there is no god but God alone who has no partner and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger; I am satisfied with God as Lord, with Muhammad as Messenger, and with Islam as religion,” his sins will be forgiven him. Muslim transmitted it.
