Let us see what are the options we have to create an excitement about the Ramadan in our kids and at the same time create an atmosphere that reminds us to do ibadah.

In Last few year, many People turned their home into a personalised musalla. In fact we all should have a dedicated area for our ibadat no matter it is COVID or not and it need not be a fancy one but every one has their own taste.

While I prefer a distraction free Praying area with just my books and my prayer mat, kids usually get excited with fancy things and they get attracted to the prayer area if they have books and stuffs that attract their attention. No doubt, It is very uplifting to have a place in our home designated for prayer and worship because as we enter the space, it becomes easier to enter into a focussed state of mind

While I was browsing the net for some Ideas . I came along this picture in social media .The Room is decorated so beautifully . If you want to do some Eid  decorations to your Kids Room , Here is how you can replicate the look without spending much time in DIYs.

And remember these are optional things that brighten any part of the home and give a festive and joyous atmosphere while the essence of Ramadan is not in decoration but purely in Ibadat.

1. Divide the Room for Prayer Area

You can do it with Artificial  Flowers , Fence , curtains etc or if you have lots of patience you can use old cardboard and carve out a mosque with it.

You can get thick prayer rugs or cushion the floor with carpet or thick blanket. I got a cushioned prayer mat last year and it is very very comfortable to sit in it for long hours. My husband also gifted me a prayer mat which has a stand to rest the back. Afterall aching back really diverts the attention.
